When the Japanese hear the name of Hiroshima, all think about A-bomb. Hiroshima is an A-bomb city. We can't recall Hiroshima without the heartbreaking experience on August 6 in 1945. The city suffered humankind's first nuclear-weapons tragedy on the day. They constantly dispatch the peace message for eliminating nuclear weapons, wishing the lasting world peace today.
So whenever I visit Hiroshima city I think back Hiroshima in 1945. I am glad Japan keep peace since the World War Two ended, though there are many countries involved in the serious fighting even now. I hope the day comes soon when all the country live in peace. Hiroshima is the city where I wish world peace and determine we shall not repeat the horror of nuclear weapons.

Beautifully written about the museums and memorials. Many of us pray every day for world peace. I wish peace and healing for everyone. :)
I visited Hiroshima in 2001 and was quite shocked to see the devastation it left as described in the museum.
August the 6th, 1945. A-bomb was dropped over Hiroshima. A crime not to be forgotten. Time again to think about the foolishness of wars or should I say, about the fools that celebrate wars? Beautiful Hiroshima page, Sakura.
