From Kobe to Tokushima prefecture, we drove a car across the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge which is the longest suspension bridge in the world. It is one of the three connecting bridges between mainland of Japan and Shikoku region. At the end of the bridge, there is the Interchange service area. It is the nice view point for the bridge.

On the way, we took udon noodle lunch around Sanuki region in Kagawa prefecture where is famous for it. Udon is one of the most popular Japanese noodles. I am sorry it was not good, so no information for you. The noodle shop is near Kinrin Park. So we took a walk along many beautiful pine trees. Some of them seem to be very old. I took the picture of the most impressive tree. It is so old that it needs stick to support.

After lunch we headed for the famous whirlpools. We can see them from the small ship. It was exciting experience.

We returned the same way. Akashi-Kaikyo bridge is beautiful at night with colorful illumination. Whirlpools at Naruto Strait is one of the good options as day trip from Kobe, if you have already visited other major sightseeing spots around.
