Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia, which has been developed aiming at the highly developed information country. However I could not know much about this high-tech aspect during my very short stay. I felt people's life has not changed much. It seemed peace and quiet.
There are many places you can stay without care at night except several dangerous places about which your guidebook says you should not go. Being luck of attractive sightseeing spots and shopping paradises, KL- as many people call the city - seems to be less attractive to many tourists.
I looked often Malay women wearing scarf over her heads, by which I realized this is an Islamic country. It is interesting to know how the religion affects on the modern life of Malaysian people. |

vicknaes Tue Feb 22, 2005 07:48 UTC I'm vicknaes from KL. I just wanted to comment abt the service at the Hindu temple. It is meant to offer the 5 elements of creation. Thr wld flames pass ard the image, water offered, a fan swipped and umbrella held. The prayer is more then meet the eyes. |
