"Off the beaten track" Nong Bua Lamphu by Richard.GVA

This is the northeastern district (amphoe) and its capital of Thailand's Nongbua Lamphu district. You can reach this small rural market town by "bus" (or rather small truck with two long banks on the back) westwards from Udon Thani, usually a 2-hour ride.
Not much for sightseeing, but you will find many shops, a couple of guesthouses, some eateries, a well-frequented karaoke place, among others. And folks are among the friendliest I met in Thailand.
