Lived here as a kid for less than a year

In between houses in Amersfoort, me, my parents and sister lived in Spakenburg. I liked the house and the surroundings, the people not so much. I'm not keen on living in a village, certainly not one with a closed community. Anyhow Spakenburg (or Bunschoten-Spakenburg as the two now make one municipality) is a Dutch village best known for it's fishingindustry, traditional clothing and the rivalry between two of Hollands best amature soccerclubs the IJsselmeervogels (reds) and Spakenburg (Blues). Worth a daytrip for the old village, harbor, small beach at the Eemmeer (Eemlake) and old customs for which it has some museums. Included is a picture of the harbor sometime in 1995, in the center you can see the house I used to live in. Nowadays it is broken down and replaced by two new ones (yes we had a lovely garden).

(lived here from summer 1995 until spring 1996 and came by weekly between 2004 and 2009 for my bass guitar lessons.)
