"Drowned village" Lago di Resia by picolopauolo

It's been a while since I've been there, more than ten years ago. I was on a holiday with my parents and sister to Unterperfuss, Austria. We had never been to Italy before and since we were close to the border we wanted to go badly. So we ended up at Lago di Resia (Lake of Resia), there I saw a sight that alway stuck with me: a church tower in the middle of the lake. Recently I found a picture that I scanned and uploaded on this page. Information on the web tells me that the lake was artificially created in 1950 when a dam was constructed. The whole village of Graun and a part of Reschen was flooded and relocated. The Church tower is the only thing left of old Graun you can see.
