I celebrated twenty years of not visiting Strasbourg recently by visiting Strasbourg again. It was the first city I could try out my high school German with this phrase:: "Ich habe mein Kamera vergessen".
And that wasn't the only thing I forgot. I forgot everything about the place, except for some glooomy hotel garret with a bidet and a shower, travelling with four California guys from a Danish architecture program, a catherdral and a restore-rant cheese casserole. Its in full color now, the analogue age has been banished by the digital. Valerie Giscard d'Estaing has been replaced by Jacques Chirac. Helmut Schmidt's job has been taken over by the surreally black-haired Gerhard Schroeder. I have no idea who the Italian Prime Minister was in 1983, but I know for sure its Silvio RAI UNO Berlusconi today. I recall a lot of complaints about Ronald Reagan's deployment of cruise missiles back in 83. Ud af Nato! Plus ca change.
Sauerkraut, choucrout, or zuurkool, by any other name would taste as sour

put in whatever pic you want, they're all good, fun, thought-provoking, etc, etc, etc... le billus, c'est le billus, and that's fine. Superb cathedral take, I cld never get the right angle...
It sure is pretty though,..despite all that Political stuff, Oui? :)
Alligator shaped pretzels couldn't drag me away.
