Great page on a couple of the lesser known places near Sintra. The Convento dos Capuchos looks very atmospheric and worth a visit.
That is a fantastic photo of you supporting that tree trunk!! Too bad my wife and I missed the amazing Pena Palace - climbing to the Moorish ruins took all our time! Sorry to read about your restaurant meal :-)

I enjoyed very much the botanical park when I visited Sintra. This is a lovely page, I hope you will add more tips and pictures.
Fern garden and convent... there's always something magic about these places. That's why we are attracted to them :)
