Food Lion: groceries for house renters

Right at the entrance to Pawley's Island south causeway, you can stop here and stock up on everything you will need for staying in a rental house for a week....food, drinks, charcoal, kites and everything else----very close so you can run back up there if you run out of anything....ice especially!

Christmas Mouse: The Hammock Shop compound

My son wanted to see this place--xmas gifts with a mouse bent----not familiar with this but this is just one of the many shops in the now huge Pawleys Island Hammock Shop complex----

Pawleys Island Seafood: fresh fish #2

Right between the 2 causeways over to Pawleys Island, this market has local fresh fish and more easy to buy and take back to your rental house to cook....Snapper, Perch, Whiting, clams, oysters and more available----not cheap but really fresh.

Georgetown Seafood: fresh fish and more

If you are staying on Pawleys Island in a rental house, I suggest you stop in Georgetown on your way in (most routes to Pawleys go through Georgetown) about 15 minutes from Pawleys, and the absolute cheapest, freshest seafood you can imagine. We just stayed at a house on Pawleys for a week, and on the way in, I stopped at Georgetown Seafood and got 2 pounds of fresh caught jumbo shrimp for 8.99 a pound, and some flounder filets, very fresh, for 7.95 a pound. We went back later for some fresh local clams (cooked on the grill with some garlic---MMMMM!), some perch filets, and more of that incredible shrimp---all at really good prices, much better than Pawleys Island Seafood Market. I'm just sayin.......

The help could be a little friendlier, but whatever.......it's worth it!
