Manchester Town Hall fireworks. Christmas 2009

Hometown

I have lived in Manchester all my life, and currently share a house with my three grown up student children and my husband and cats.

Travel

Parga

We love traveling and are particularly fond of Greece, the islands, the Mythos and the Ouzo.

Walking

I enjoy walking around Manchester city centre's canals. You can beat the crowds and the traffic and there is a lovely vibe in the summer mornings when there are holiday makers on the barges. In the spring you can sometimes see some fluffy babies

Gardening

My garden

I enjoy gardening and try to grow a mixture of flowers and veggies together. I would love to be self sufficient but this year have had to manage on tomatoes, runner beans, chillies, more runner beans, courgettes, runner beans, lettuce and more runner beans.

Lucky for me I have lovely grown up children who look after my garden when I am off on my travels.
