There's more to Coron than diving - Coron

Coron is best known for its diving spots. In WWII, a lot of Japanese ships were sunk by the US Navy's aerial bombardment. These have now become a sanctuary for a variety of marine creatures that call these wrecks their home. Thus, making Coron one of the 10 best scuba diving spots of the world according to Forbes Magazine.

However, for non-divers like me, simply being there for sight seeing was enough. The gigantic mountains of limestones, cliffs, and majestic lakes are sure to take one's breath away.

Pros and Cons

Pros:unspoiled nature, great snorkeling/diving spots, serene environment
Cons:not much to do after dark
