Huntingdon Hall: Fairport Convention

    A very lively venue for lots of folk groups and small scale classical chamber and choral works. The venue is an architectural gem of a building formerly the Countess of Huntingdon Connextion Church which became redundant in the 1970's. We went to hear a well known regional folk group called "The Fairport Convention".

    Worcester nearly lost its Swan Theatre in early 2003, but it reopened again in June of that year. I went to see an extremely good production of an adaptation of this Thomas Hardy West Country novel

    There are 2 cinemas in Worcester. The Odeon is the older one and I have to admit it is now beginning to feel a little dated as a multi-screen cinema. We went on a Monday evening to see "The Station Agent", a low key film being shown as a special "Directors Chair" (ie a single showing of older, arts or less popular but well reviewed films)

     Spent a day there in 2000. The cathedral is great and a walk on the river most enjoyable. Talked to the artists painting some vases in the porcelain factory. Are the tours of the factory still possible? Thanks for the interesting virtual tour.
