Any time is a good time to visit the nations capital, there are many events that goes on throughtout the year. One of my favorites is the Cherry Blossom Festival. There is a cherry blossom lookout that begins in March for the best time to see these trees in bloom. they will last about two weeks and usually begins after the first week in April. Always BING the festival web site to get the exact time. Enjoy the weekend there strolling the grounds and bring a picnic lunch.

While touring the nations capital, you can watch planes take off and land in one of Washington D.C. many parks. They will come in 50 feet above your head if the landing pattern and wind is NE. I can spend a afternoon there with friends to watch the planes come in and also bicycle the many trails they have throughtout the park.
