"What an impressive place" Nice by Bourgeois

June of 2010, we stayed in nice for a week, it was so good, the weather was kind, lovely temp of about 25 degrees.
We stayed about two blocks back from the beach, the beach by Australian standards was pretty ordinary, the pebbles on the beach actually hurt my feet, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the nice refreshing water.
My hubby and I would purchase a bottle of wine and sit and watch the passers by on the Promenade de Anglaise.
We went on day trips to surrounding areas eg: Eze, Monaco, Antibes, Cannes, st Paul Jerre and Grasse. It cost 1 euro for the bus to a lot of these places, fantastic value.
The shopping was fantastic, I am not rich, but found some chains of shops that we don't have at home, and were very reasonably priced, so I was happy I have a expensive look ,and I won't see anyone wearing it back home. The quality was excellent as well, clothes that will last me forever. I was pleasantly surprised that you can live on a limited budget in the french riviera.
