Located in the north eastern Italy, approximately 60 kms west of Venice, knowned as "Citta del Palladio".
Andrea Palladio was a famous italian renaissance architect, he designed many palaces, churches and villas. One of the most famous is the Villa Capra "La Rotonda".
This theatre is the oldest enclosed theatre in the world and famous for it's stage set , an extraordinary "trompe l'oeil" street view.
Build in 1580-1585 , it was design by Andrea Palladio who died in 1580, the theatre was completed by his son Silla and another Vicentine architect Vicenzo Scamozzi.
