Blaggards Pub & Restaurant: Billards and a few drinks
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Blaggards Pub & Restaurant

Blaggards is your usual pub/bar serving some good food as well. I use to come here quite often to meet up with my friend who worked in the area. We would start our night with a few beers a chat and then set off to find a place to have dinner.

Most recently I've returned with my boyfriend to have a few beers and play some billards. The service is quite good and it doesn't usually get too crowded.

Telephone Bar & Grille: Cozy and relaxing place for some food and drinks
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Telephone Bar & Grille

This is a good bar/pub here in the Village which offers meals as well. I have never eaten here, but I do enjoy the laid back atmosphere and all the Anglophiles enjoying their favorite drinks.

The main dinning/drinking area is quite large with the dinning tables to your left as you enter and a large communal table in the center in front of the bar.

There is a very cozy back seating area with tables, couches, a fireplace and mirrors all over the wall for a more personal or romantic evening.

The few times I've been here I have ordered their hoegaarten.

Nation: Friendly pub with great bartenders
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Nation

Nation is a great pub/bar serving some really good food as well as beer on tap and bottle and some really good mixed drinks.

The bar/restaurant is average size and as soon as you walk in the bar is to your right and bar tables to your left. At the back of the bar is a larger seating area.

The bar is decorated with exposed brick with some pictures of Native Americans. The atmosphere was very friendly and casual. There was a group behind us who chatted us up and kept wanting to take our picture ;)

Faces & Names: Cozy up by the fire!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Faces & Names

This is a really great bar to bring your date or for meeting with friends. The bar is quite large and cozy and as you enter the bar you will find tables scattered throughout. The bar itself isn't large and is located in the back area where the large fireplace with huge couches are. The walls are decorated with caricature potraits of famous people.

The food and service is quite good as well, although a bit on the pricer side.

Sidewalk Cafe: Great place to meet for a few drinks
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Sidewalk Cafe

Sidewalk Cafe has been a meeting point to start an afternoon or night out, meeting up before dinner, or many vt pre-meetings. The service is good and the bartenders super nice. I've never been here where it has been super crowded, but it does get quite busy.

The bar is on the small side with limited tall table seating as soon as you enter. Happy hour is what makes this place such a great place to come.

    Bogart's: The humus is slammin!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Bogart's

Located in the heart of Grand Central is Bogarts. Centrally located and quite close to my apartment we have been here a few times with my friends to finish a night of drinking and to grab a bite to eat. There is a bar in the middle of the room with additional seating throughout for a sit down meal.

    Their hummus is quite good.

    Stout NYC: An okay bar
  • Tip Rating:
  • Nightlife Spot: Stout NYC

I've been to Stout quite a few times and I can't get over how crowded and noisy it gets especially on Thursdays and Fridays, you can barely hear yourself talk, let alone carry a meaningful conversation with someone else. I'll usually stop by for a few beers before heading off some other place to eat. Although I have eaten here a few times, the food is just okay. They do have a large selection of beer on tap or bottle, which seems to be the big draw.

If you like the loud bar scene, you'll be right at home.

As gay bars go in NYC, this is one of the best. The dance floor is packed with hot, sweaty bodies gyrating to some excellent music. The crowd is fantastic!! Every one is out to have a good time. The bar is on the smallish side but the drinks are slammin!!

We always have a fantastic time!!

Niagara is a whole in the wall dive place!! Those places where you have fun with a group of friends. The music was jamming and the room downstairs to the back has a nice little bar! The place is packed with people drinking and just having a good time. Make it one of your last stops of clubbing hoping!

The journey on your NY pages was a great experience. By the way, "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?" is an old joke only, is'nt it. L.
