My functional sandals - Sydney

My functional sandals

Clothing: Roxy Clothing Review

I arrived in Sydney with a pair of beautiful high heeled sandals that were quite comfortable (that is if you weren't walking as much as we did). But after walking all over Circular Quay, Botanic Gardens and Domain, around Darling Harbour, my poor feet were killing me.

I was in search of a pair of sandals that were functional, cute and comfy. I searched all over Sydney for the right pair and after about an hour, walked into Roxy and found the pair pictured here.

I didn't love them, but I needed something quick and this is the closet I came to something that suited my needs.

Lucky for me I neither loved them and paid too much for them, because as soon as I got home my pup torn them apart (I guess she thought they weren't fashionable enough, and I think I would agree), oh well....

What to buy: Roxy sells a large selection of beach wear, shorts, sun dresses, t-shirts, bathing suits, and anything you need for a day at the beach.

I found my sandals here.

Shopping for shoes and clothing - Sydney
Strand Arcade: Shopping for shoes and clothing Strand Arcade Review

After spending some time walking around with my "heels" I decided I really needed a flat pair of shoes that I could explore Sydney with, since I enjoy all my exploring on foot.

We decided to walk into this Arcade of shops and see what I could find. I was really looking for some sandals, nothing too flat, something comfortable and that I could wear with jeans.

We walked around, went into a few stores and couldn't find anything that I wanted. We continued to explore the arcade and I did find a store with some really nice tops. I can't recall the name of the store.

What to buy: Since this is a shopping arcade, there are many stores to shop in. I found this really nice store that had some great jewelry and some really hip tops. You will also find a small food court in the arcade.

Address: runs from Pitt St to George St

Paddy's Markets - Sydney
Markets: Paddy's Markets Markets Review

Paddy's Markets located in Haymarket near China Town is a fantastic place to shop. An indoor market with thousands of stalls selling everything you can imagine.

What to buy: We purchased some socks, local crafts and of course the obligatory souvenirs. We picked up some key chains, stuffed koala bears, bomerangs, postcards and a beautiful photo album.

What to pay: Really inexpensive, the best deals around.

This market located at the Rocks is held every weekend (Sat-Sun) rain or shine. You will find all sorts of jewelery, arts and crafts, local pottery even doggie treats. I purchased my green necklace I have on during my visit to watson's Bay, and of course some doggie treats as my little Cookie always benefits from any of my trips.
