Mi Viejo San Juan

I love the "Old World" charm that San Juan exudes!!! I will never get tired of visiting this part of the world and will make my yearly trek here until I can travel no more....

Stay tuned as I'll be doing some serious overhauling on this page. I've neglected it for too long and there are so many places of interest, nightlife and restaurants and of course shopping tips that I need to add.

Exploring San Juan

The major historic sites of San Juan are located around Old San Juan. There is over 500 years of history which is quite evident in its many historic buildings, from San Juan Cathedrale (built in 1520), El Morro and San Cristobal Fort to protect the city, the Barracks to hold the spanish troops and the many small musuems of Spanish significance, you'll feel like you've just stepped back 500 years in time.

More than just history

San Juan has seen a revitalization of the restaurant and nightlife scene. Whether you want to party or enjoy a great meal at a trendy lounge, you'll definitely find in San Juan.

In Calle San Sebastian you'll find many bars and clubs with excellent music which spills onto the streets. Looking for a more trendy restaurant/lounge atmosphere, then head over to Calle Fortaleza where the dining experience has seen an explosion of fusion cuisine.

As for the Condado and Isla Verde area, well, here is where you'll find the large hotel/casinos with excellent entertainment in a hotel atmosphere.

San Juan has it all...all you have to do is explore
