Bistro Latino: Great place for a birthday Celebration

Restaurant Name: Bistro Latino
This is a restaurant with four floors a bar and a nightclub. Christian managed to get us the VIP Key to the fourth floor where we a bunch of vt'rs got together to help me celebrate my 40th birthday. We had a lovely section up on the fourth floor with our own dance floor and the dj spinning a nice mix of music. While you are enjoying a few drinks and the tapas a waiter/waitress comes around with a glass covered trolley where they dispense snacks from. The first and third floors are dance floors with it's own blend of funky Latin sounds, and the top floor is a combination nightclub where you can find the VIP section. I had a marvelous time enjoying the food, company and music!

le Relais de l'Entrecôte: Excellent steak and frites

Restaurant Name: le Relais de l'Entrecôte
le Relais de l'Entrecôte is a very special restaurant for me. It's one of my favorite restaurants here in Paris because it's where my friend Badri first brought me for dinner back in the late 1990’s. The restaurant is quite nice looking with dark wood features, Parisien pictures all over the walls and with a very friendly wait staff, which incidently are all women. We usually dine later on in the evening and no matter what time you arrive here, there is always a wait. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a table and I have never noticed any "tourists" at this location. I'm aware that there are two other locations, but this is the only location I will dine at. . I've always been happy with my food here, happy with the friendly staff and nice atmosphere and will continue to dine here every time I am in Paris.
Favorite Dish: Their specialty dish is the deliciously prepared beef. But not just any beef…the beef is prepared in a “special green-sauce” which is amazingly seasoned and taste oh so wonderful. The beef just melts in your mouth. As you are seated the waitress will ask you how you want your beef prepared. Will it be rare, medium rare or well cooked? The food is brought out on a hot serving platter warmers to keep the food just right. The order is taken for the whole table and just enough food is made for the entire party. The price of our meal will include a basket of baguettes and a small salad of greens and walnuts. Order a wonderful bottle of wine to go with your meal. At the end of your meal make sure to have some dessert! YUM!!!

Angelina: Heavenly chocolate!

Restaurant Name: Angelina
Angelina's is just one of those places that you hear so much about that you just have to go. The lines are usually quite long, but they move quickly. It's beautiful interior will overwhelm your senses. The decor is a bit dated now, but the experience is just the same. You're here to experience what may be the very best hot chocolate your mouth will ever taste. On my most recent visit I was a bit disappointed. I always order the same thing, their specialty, the l'Africain chocolate and the Mont Blanc, but the Mont Blanc seemed like it had been seating out for a while and didn't tast quite as yummy as my previous visits. The hot chocolcate as usual is divine!!!
Favorite Dish: I usually order the same thing, the l'Africain and the Mont Blanc (a meringue base piled with chestnut purée & whipped cream). They also serve a wide variety of other dishes like salads, quiches and all sorts of desserts.

Pizza Pino: Good Italian Food

Restaurant Name: Pizza Pino
This Italian eatery located here on the Champs Elysees was just want I was looking for. I've been to this restaurant at least three times and their food is always fresh. The restaurant is really nice and honestly quite inexpensive for a restaurant on the Champs Elysees. While the restaurant may have an intimate and romantic feeling, you won't feel out of place if you dine here on your own. I have eaten here twice on my own and not once did I feel uncomfortable. This seems to be a "chain" restuarant with a few locations throughout Paris.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish, the Fettuccine Alfredo.

Restaurant Name: Noura (lebanese restaurant / fast-food)
My friend Badri wanted to take me to have some authentic Lebanese food, and this is the place he brought me. The food was fresh, delicious and the price just right. The waitstaff were prompt and very helpful in assisting us in choosing our meal.
Favorite Dish: Actually, Badri ordered for me, so I can't remember exactly what we had.

Restaurant Name: Maison de Gyros
We stumbled upon this place as we were getting ready to head to the airport for our flight home. A great and inexpensive Greek restaurant located here on the left bank across from Notre Dame. Its a fast food place and as soon as you walk in you place your order at the counter, pay for your meal and sit on one of the many small tables in the back.
Favorite Dish: The gyros were really good.

Restaurant Name: La Boheme du Tertre
I must admit I wasn't very impressed with this place. It seemed like it was a tourist haven, but after walking around Montmartre for a few hours, we needed to relax, grab something to eat and drink. We decided on this place because of its ideal location for people watching. We waited what seemed over 20 mintues for a waiter to come to us with menus, and about another 20 minutes for the waiter to come back to place our order and probably another 20 for our food to arrive. Luckily we weren't starving, so we took the opportunity to have a few glasses of wine and people watch...
Favorite Dish: I honestly can't remember what we ordered, but I do recall having some of their house wine.

I had read so many good things about this place, so naturally on my latest visit I stopped by to try their famous bread and pasteries. Its amazing how the French have perfected the wonderful breads and pastries, so fresh, lite and airy...its an art form. NOTE: Closed on Mondays
Favorite Dish: Their signature Malesherbes (square tipped baguette), or any of their viennoiseries, and of course their exceptionally delicious croissants.

Restaurant Name: Poilâne
Another boulangerie I wanted to visit was the famous Poilâne. What makes Poilâne so special is that its preserved the "ancestral techniques of bread making." They have a wide range of breads to choose from, so enjoy! NOTE: Closed on Sundays
Favorite Dish: We came for the famous sourdough loaf which is made from stone-grounded flour and is baked in an antique wood fired stove. YUM
