Paris for me is no longer just a travel destination, it's more like returning home after a long absence.
Of all the European cities I have visited, Paris has been the city I will never tire of seeing.
My two latest trips to Paris were brief, one was a long weekend October 2009 and the other was for a short business trip May 2008. Neither trip was long enough for me to see the sites I enjoy seeing and finding new ones, but I can always return again next year :)
In November 2004, the IPG's were in town to help celebrate moi's big 4-0!! Yeah, hard to believe it, but 40 was approaching and I wanted to celebrate it in the city I love so much.
Past the café shutters down,
No one stirs in the town.
The morning after the rain
The barges move on the Seine.
Down the avenue lined with trees
Paris bells ring on the breeze
Paris bells ring on the breeze.
Dawn is breaking, birds start to sing,
Sun is rising, warms everything.
The echo of footsteps on a cobbled street,
Dim alleyways where the shadows meet.
Down the avenue lined with trees
Paris bells ring on the breeze
Paris bells ring on the breeze.
The places where we used to visit,
The chapel where we went to wed.
Paris bells on the breeze
Often stir memories.
We both knew the morning rain
We both wandered down the Seine.
Now you're gone away from me
You're just a memory
Like the bells ring on the breeze,
Paris bells ring on the breeze.
Lyrics: Faithfull Marianne
Thinking back now there are so many reasons why I love Paris so much.
Paris was the very first country I visited out of the US, and I did it alone! I didn't know anything about Paris expect for all the reading and research I had compiled on this glorious city. I was so pleasantly surprised at what was in store for me. Paris scared me and inspired me, made me fall in love and helped me appreciate the little things in life and I've been in love with her ever since my very first vist.
I return to Paris as often as I can because it makes me feel welcomed. I've learned to enjoy and appreciate history, art, architecture and just living while in this city. Paris will forever be very special to me. I've just recently returned from a quick 1 day stay.
I just love exploring this city and at every single turn I will always find something new. I have so many favorite places that I enjoy re-visiting as well as finding new ones. There will never be enough time to explore all this wonderful city has to offer, but I will always have tomorrow.
Please do not take my personal pictures without prior permission.
- Pros:The culture, the lights, the friends and the life
- Cons:Once you find yourself in Paris, you never want to leave
- In a nutshell:I fall in love every time I visit Paris!!

Hi Janet, I see you've been to Paris again, so I'm having a look at your updates since October 12, 2009. I used to live on Rue des Rosier, and ate at L'As du Falafel with my younger son on a recent visit. When are you coming to Frankfurt again?
Not Gourmet Dining but That's not Why you go there! The food was well prepared and very good for the price. One customer below claims they called customers "pigs." I can only guess they acted like one.
Time 4 a next (VT)meet @ Paris again?!?
Yes it was spectacular.
Ca fait longterms Janet. Howz life, Ca va?
Janet, Paris is loveliest in May and every other month as well. Seeing your photos reminded me of the #1 gourmet dinner of all time I enjoyed at les Ambassadeurs au Crillon. oh mon dieu! Fantastique!
Just found your pages. Great stuff on Paris. We've just started posting our pictures of Paris and Versailles from last October. Can't wait to get back. Hopefully I'll have some videos with music soon.
Count me as another Paris enthusiast! I enjoyed making a start on reading your Paris tips, must return later for more.
Fun fun memories of a fun fun place with my fun fun friend. Happy holidays Janee...miss ya chickee babe.
¿Qué tal todo? En dos meses estaré aquí; volveré a tu página con más tiempo, mientras tanto te invito a que veas mis nuevas páinas
