In winter time it is great to come to this little town and to do skiing or snowboarding in the near mountain Kaukukalns or skating in the town center or if it is available on the Aluksne lake which is 11th largest lake in Latvia.
Or when it's Christmas time it's great to walk through the town center to see the lightning...
If it is cold enough, than it is possibile to go by car on the lake and just have a fun!
In autumn You can walk a lot or go by bycicle - to the park, near to the lake and watch swans.
In the evening You can go and to see fountains which is located near the park and are lightining when it is dark.
