"Tczew - underestimated town close to Tri-Cities" piosku67's Profile
I discovered Tczew accidentally because you can’t travel to the center of Poland, let’s to Warsaw from Tri-Cities ( Gdansk – Sopot - Gdynia), not being in the town. Although from a carriage window on the railway station it seems to be a dull and sleepy place, in fact it can surprise you. By the way now the train station is being rebuilt and refurnished.
Many foreign people go through Tczew to Malbork, which is obviously more famous of it’s the Teutonic castle or many head to Pelpin because of a medieval cathedral church, not knowing that in Tczew you can find both things and more.
Anyway you must be curious of provincial towns in the north of Poland, because if you are looking for elegance a la Paris or frenzy, urban atmosphere of Berlin or New York , you can be disappointed.
There are many adjacent places to see around Tczew, which are well connected with Tri-Cities and Tczew itself. The example is Milobadz.

Hi Piotr,
Many thanks for the nice comments. All you need really is a smile, waggle the camera and then they have a choice. If they say no or hold their hand out, just walk on. Invariably a high percentage say yes and you're on your way. Nevr, never start hiding behind things, be up front with it and it will go a lot better. Good luck.

Hi Piotr! Thank you for the nice comment on my homepage!
Sorry, but I meant the whole range of islands, I thought they are called in geograhpy terms the Isles or the British Isles, but you are right. I know the Irish, like Polish people from Russia and Germany, struggled much to get indepndence from the Brithish Impire. Anyway, I read that: "The British Isles are a group of islands off the northwest coast of continental Europe that include the islands of Great Britain, Ireland and over six thousand smaller isles."en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britis...
So I see!
But perhaps it's best to be a little careful about your definition of what's 'British', as the Irish may take this badly (since the Republic isn't part of of Britain)!
Semantics aside, both my mother and father are Irish, and I would agree that it's a beautiful (and often overlooked) part of the country, so it was a wise choice on your part and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Regards
Cathy
Piotr, thank you for your great compliments. During my trips I write short reports at sachara.whereareyou.net or ali.waarbenjij.nu. These are great and easy pre-cooked websites to write your reports when you are on route and have internet acces.
Thanks Piotr!

Piotr, there is nothing wrong with seeking technical information here, it is a very god place to do that. I thank you for your very kind comments but I would say that anyone can do what I do on VT. You do not need to be eloquent, as you put it, just write honestly about places you know. People like that. That is why people come on VT, to get a proper inside idea of what is there. Just keep doing what you do. Do not worry about being the next Shakepeare or Wordsworth, just write honest tips about places you know or places you have visited and you will be great. As I said non my homepage, the place where you live is exotic to someone! fergy.
Great pictures and page!
A warm happy birthday greet from Malaysia.
Hope you have a great birthday Piotr!! Greetings from Australia!!
