Hong Kong Island Travel Guide: 247 reviews and 672 photos
The famous city skyline is impressive in any weather as is the list of things to do here. A visit isn't complete without crossing the harbour on the Star Ferry, riding the Peak Tram, buying mementoes at Stanley Markets, investigating Ocean Park and taking in the nightly Light Show (great to see in any weather) - amongst others. I will let my individual pages describe things in more detail.
Even in this bustling western city there are reminders of its history. The Man Mo Temple in Hollywood Road was built in 1847 and is now a Grade 1 historic building.
Even though there is an old and intersting history Hong Kong is known for its thoroughly modern architecture.
- Pros:Plenty of varying things to do day and night
- Cons:The weather! - I took the Peak Tram twice to see nothing!
- In a nutshell:Unique - but to me not a destination in itself.
