    • Texarkana's State Line Avenue, the town's main street, was laid out exactly along the dividing line between the two states. While for all intents and pursposes Texarkana is one city, it actually consists of two separate municipalities, with two mayors and two sets of councilmen and city officials.

     Great page! I went to Texarkana while moving from Chicago to Houston. In the evening , we drove through downtown(S!). A very peculiar city with administrative offices doubled! It looked really nice for living, although very dead in the downtown area.
