Getting TO/AROUND: Mineola is right at the connection of Hwy 80 and Hwy 69 in East Texas Piney Woods area.

Hwy 80 runs east to west and Hwy 69 runs north to south.

From Dallas take US80 east through Terrell and straight into Broad Street, Mineola.

Getting TO/AROUND: The airport is privately owned but open to the public with parallel grass and asphalt runways. Its only about one mile east of Mineola.

The first plane to land on this field was a Curtis JN-4D 'Jenny' biplane in 1917. A member of the US Army Signal Corps piloted the plane. At the time the field was called Massengale Meadow and was perfect because of the flatness of the land to establish one of the first airports in Texas. It was during World Warr I by military aircraft and was the home. The Royal Flying Circus had its home in Wiseners Field Airport during the 1920's.

Getting TO/AROUND: Amtrak has daily arrivals and departures in Mineola. The station is right in the downtown area with easy access to shops, restaurants and accommodation. The #21 train heads south to San Antonio with connections to/from El Paso, Tucson, Oklahoma and Los Angeles. This train departs 7 days a week. The #22 train heads northbound to Chicago and also departs 7 days a week.
