Mesquite Shopping Tips by keeweechic

Town East Mall is the local 'hot spot' for shoppers. It was opened in 1970 and has major retail stores such as Dillards, Sears, JC Penny and Foleys. Not the most exciting or visually appealing retail complexes I have ever come across but most needs are met here including a couple of restaurants and an ‘adequate’ food hall. Something new to me has been to witness 'mall walkers'. I have never seen this before but those who want exercise and don't want to brave the cold or stifling temperatures, gather at the local mall, suitably dressed in walking attire and clock up their mileage up and down, in and out, of the various arms of the mall.

The Bookstop and Starbucks across the road are worth visiting, as well as Garden Ridge across from the rear end of the mall.

On the other side of the freeway is a new development of stores from Kohls, Bed & Bath, Borders, Utimate Electronics, Ross, Home Depot and others.

This shop is quite deceptive to its size. The front entrance is on Main Street but its not always easy for parking. Around the back is a small lane by the railway tracks and there is a back entrance to the shop.

Sell sell all kinds of things from toys, clothes, china, crafts.. whatever. New and used and all in great condition. Prices are very reasonably priced and great for that small little inexpensive gift that's always difficult to find.
