    • During May the Main Street Days festival takes place. This is to celebrate Grapevines agricultural heritage. There are street dances, arts and crafts, the stew cook-off plus non stop entertainment on four stages ranging from classic rock to country bands. Plenty of food and drinks also. There is plenty of heritage displays to view.

    • Back in 1934 on Easter Sunday, 1934, two highway patrolmen unwittingly stopped a car on the side of the road near Grapevine. They were open fired on by Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie apparently walked over to one of the offers and rolled him over with her foot then fired a shot from her shotgun into the officers head. She then reportedly said, "look-a-there, his head bounced just like a rubber ball." Charming...!
