This small museum is situated out a the Denton Municipal Airport and has 4 planes on display. There is a Lockheed 10A plane, which amongst others was owned by child movie star Margaret O'Brien. There is a Stagger Wing, which was built by Beech Aircraft and used mainly for VIP of admirals and dignitaries. The Army Air Corps used the PT-22 on display primarily as a trainer for neophyte pilots and the other plane on display is a small, sporty-looking Piper L-4, which was used during World War II as a reconnaissance plane.

The museum is free and open to the public Mon - Sat 8:30am-3pm

Address: Denton Municipal Airport, 1945 Matt Wright Ln. Turn right at the entrance of the Airport and go about 100 yards.

Is a picnic spot in Lake Dallas, about 10 miles south of Denton in southeastern Denton County. It is a very natural area which includes picnic tables and walking trails as well as fishing opportunities right on Lake Lewisville. There is also two baseball fields near the entrance to the park.

The Lake is on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and spans more than 23,000 acres. With the lakes depth there is plenty of opportunity for all kinds of water sports. There are nature trails around the 233 miles of shoreline and great fishing opportunities. Fish caught here include large-mouth bass, crappie, catfish, white bass and white stripped bass.
