  • Adolphus Busch of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association put a proposal to the city of Dallas to buy the City Hall property and build a 20 storey hotel. The City accepted and in 1912 the Adolphus Hotel was opened. At that time the French Renaissance Beaux Arts structure was the tallest building in Dallas and was dubbed the ‘most beautiful building west of Venice”. In 1981 the original building was restored. The hotel has beautiful artwork and antiques displayed in an old world theme.

At the corner of the building is a Budweiser beer bottle shaped turret.

The hotel has 428 guestrooms and luxury suites. The French Room is a richly decorated restaurant complete with murals, arches and chandeliers and serves a classic French cuisine. The New York Times comments were "...indisputably the most striking and sumptuous restaurant in Dallas..." and Gourmet Magazine named The French Room one of America's "Top Tables," . It has also been listed on Condé Nast Traveler's Top 20 Restaurants in America, and was awareded Zagat Survey's Top 20 Food Ranking.

  • The Aristocrat is one of the Holiday Inn chain of hotels and has been beautifully restored into a nationally registered landmark. The building was first constructed in 1925 by Conrad Hilton who operated one of the two earliest hotel chains in the state, this was the first to bear his name. The hotel has operated continuously a hotel since its opening although for 35 years it was named White Plaza hotel. The hotel has 172 rooms, mostly suites and is just a short walk from The West End, JFK Memorial, Neiman Marcus, Dallas Museum of Art and the Majestic Theatre

  • Another one of Dallas’ historic hotel buildings. The small European-styled Hotel Lawrence was built in 1925. They have 118 art deco rooms along with 8 suites. The rooms are furnished with mahogany furniture and CD players and come with a complimentary breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of the West End, Sixth Floor Depository Building, JFK Memorial and many other attractions in downtown Dallas.

  • The Westin City Center in Dallas is in the heart of the city's arts and financial district. The hotel is next to the Tower of the America’s and has a connection into the retail shops, restaurants and an indoor ice skating arena. The hotel is the only authorised agent licensed to serve alcoholic beverages on premises. The hotel has cable t.v., coffee makers and data port.

  • The Ramada Plaza hotel is not quite as central in downtown as some of the others. They offer free transport to and from Dallas Love Field Airport and also provide parking. Rooms include cable t.v. and telephones with Data Port Hook Up. The hotel has a indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi and fitness centre. Close to the convention centre and Fair Park.
