%b%crA Day Trip to Bonham%b%c* and other Bonham, TX General Tips

Favorite Thing: I came across Bonham as being a possible place of interest. There seemed, by researching the web, enough there to warrant a visit. The day started out sunny and cloudless, it changed into low cloud then about 10 minutes of heavy fog until it finally lifted to high cloud when approaching Bonham.

The town square itself was a disappointment on others I had seen but a lot of construction was also going on. I later learnt that there was a huge upgrade in process. Bonham has been selected for the Main Street program where many historical buildings and homes benefit from restoration efforts. Work has begun on the downtown square and some of the buildings on the square. There will be a Heritage Trail as well as development down to the old dam. Given a few years, Bonham should be an attractive little city as well as what is now, an interesting one.
