Woodman Point is a popular place for water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, sailing, fishing, scuba diving etc. There was plenty of kite skiing taking place the day I was there.
Kite Surfing is relatively new sport which uses a very large stunt kite to provide the wind power to waterski or surf. The afternoon Fremantle Doctor provides good breezes along the Cockburn Sound.

Fremantle definitely has a big sailing attraction. Aside from the Fremantle yacht club, there is also the East Fremantle Yacht Club. This facility is also for the non-boating patrons who just enjoy the bar and dining experience. They will also cater for private functions and weddings. Included in the club is a modern gym and sauna. If you are boating though, you can hire boat storage, pens and moorings. There is a slipway and a boat launching ramp and petrol and diesel are available 24 hrs.

Football in Fremantle has been represented back as far as 1885 when 4 clubs contested the premiership. The old Victoria Grandstand style was very popular at the turn of the century with its iron lacework and towers. This one was opened by Sir John Forrest in 1897.

Pinjarra lies 86 km south of Perth on the banks of the Murray River. Pinjara is the place for Sky diving. I booked my jump with WA Skydiving Academy and their drop zone was at Pinjarra, south of Perth. Because Pinjarra is at sea level you get a true jump of whatever altitude you choose (to a maximum of 14,000 ft). You need to be there well in advance of your jump to be fitted out in your suit and harness and go through the training session. I was fortunate, as just after I came down, jumps were suspended because the wind picked up.
