Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It is also the larges city of the nation. Referred to as the 'Heart of Europe' it is amongst the most fascinating places to see. The inner more historical sections of the city are the Hradcany, the Lesser Town and the Old Town both with their characteristic medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. The wonderful grandiose Cathedrals and picturesque towers can be seen from all around the city causing the city to be lent the name of 'The City of a Hundred Spires'

Its truly a very pretty city especially by night. The only thing that soured my visit was having my wallet stolen by Gypsies in Wenceles Square (they were very good!) only hours before I was due to leave Prague. My last minute shopping was curtailed but I must say that I met a wonderful Czech girl who heard me trying to communicate about the loss of my wallet, she walked me all around the city until we found a police station (that was open) and then translated for me in order for me to make my report. I regret I never got her name and details to thank her properly later. She was just a delight and my saving grace where communication was difficult.
