Taipei
  • Tip Rating:

  • A visit to Snake Alley in the evening is interesting. The area has become a popular night market. There are shopping stalls and also many restaurants, some still serving snake, turtle and other gourmet dishes, but don't worry - 'normal' Asian food prevails.

Beware, the fellas, entertaining you with the snakes, do not like you to take photos and will get pretty upset if you do - but try it anyway.

    Warner Village Cinemas
  • Tip Rating:

  • If all else fails you could go and see a movie. The Warner Village cinemas were one of the first big multiplexes. This cinema has 18 theatres spanning across two buildings which also incorporates restaurants.

Across the road is the Mitsukoshi Department Store and 5 mins up the road is the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Warner Village Cinemas are in many cities in Taiwan.

Great albums!! However I couldn't see the much more than the Kuomintang's version of history in your article. The modernisation started when the Japanese ruled the island, they made Taiwan one of the most advanced place in Asia.
