  • Austin is also known as the Home of the Blues. A wonderful mixture of music oozes from nightclubs and bars and the restaurants are plentiful and excellent as well. Sixth Street - is one of the main streets for Austin’s nightlife. There is a wide variety of bars, dance clubs, comedy clubs and live music venues.

  • If you're expecting to see big hats, steel guitars and fiddles, you will find them here but Dallas also sings the blues, folk, jazz, rock and roll and heavy metal. There are comedy clubs, piano bars and nightclubs. The West End is a great place to hang out, sit outside, have a drink and listen to the orchestra of different sounds from the various bars. Planet Hollywood is also in the West End.

The American's Airline Centre hold many concerts and other events like Barnum & Bailey Circus, Ringling Brother, Disney on Ice and the Harlem Globetrotters. The complex seats 19,200 for basketball, 18,000 for hockey and 20,000 for other events.

  • Booger Red’s Saloon is interconnecting with the restaurant. It is named in honour of the legendary Texas bronc-busting champion Samuel Thomas Privett (1858-1926). The bar has been a Stockyards District institution since 1984 and features Fort Worth's most complete selection of tequilas, the one-of-a-kind 'Anita-Rita' margarita, a vast selection of cigars, wines and spirits as well as domestic and imported beers.

The saloon's most popular drink is the 16-oz. Buffalo Butt Beer, named for the rear end of the mighty beast which is prominently mounted in the centre of Booger Red's bar. Each frosty bottle of Buffalo Butt Beer is served in an iced bucket.

  • City Streets

This is Fort Worth's greatest multi-venue entertainment complex. There is actually five clubs under one roof! ATLANTIS is a dance club with a nautical-theme featuring hit music from the 70s and 80s. STRAY CATS: has keyboard comedians duelling and audiences participating in singalongs. THE BLUE MONKEY LOUNGE is a karaoke bar. CAGES has the current Top 40 contemporary dance music along with a multi-level dance floor. EASY STREET DELI features a full service bar and coffee drinks. (425 Commerce St.).

    J&J Blues Bar

J&J Blues Bar is tucked away in a little corner of Ft Worth. A well known spot for Blues and R&B fans. Looking more like a large tin shack, inside you will find a cosy atmosphere with table and chairs (with room to move) and a bar. Flashy old neon signs and gaudy advertising add some colour and for conversation, an assortment of bra’s dangle from anything they can find to be draped over. Just the coolest little place. J&J’s hosts numerous well known local and national blues bands including some great legends. (937 Woodward Street, Ft Worth).

Just FYI on fire ants. Immediately soak your feet (hands, ankles, etc.) in undiluted household bleach for a couple of minutes. You won't even have to repeat like you do with the hot water.
