    • The Parkhotel Schönbrunn is Vienna´s largest hotel complex and right next to Schönbrunn Palace – I stayed there and it was a great location for wandering through the palace gardens (but it is located away from the city). One of the few hotels that can consider itself 'Emperor-approved'. Built in 1907 as a guesthouse for VIPs visiting Franz Josef at Schönbrunn.

    Unique Qualities: Restaurant, bar, cable, satellite, garden, indoor swimming poor, spa, solarium, fitness studio.

    Directions: The closest subway stop to the hotel is right at the corner, just a short walk past a café, a chocolatier, a ladies fashion boutique, a men’s clothing store, and a magazine and card shop.

     Fabulous Vienna page with brilliant photos. Brings back many memories of my days in Vienna. Nevertheless, I think that the Vienna Card is a Tourist Trap. It is too expensive compared to the normal prices. :o)
