EGYPT HAS WONDERFUL SUNSETS I loved Egypt,which stands on the site of the ancient capital of Thebes.I went on a Nile cruise with my mum and had a wonderful time.The sights were breathtaking.Tourism is Egypts main source of income.Most tourists sadly do not see past the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings.There is so much more to see in Egypt too.The culture of modern Egypt is as exciting as ancient Egypt.
Egypt is a very religious place,mainly Islamic.I found Egypt is very friendly country and people were very interested about us(where we come from and our family etc).I traveled along the Nile and went to Valley of the Kings.I recomend this for first time visits,but on your second visit,i recomend looking further,say visit the desesrt.The country is made up of mainly desert afterall(96%).
I will do a desert trip next time i go.I want the challenge of it.Millions of people have seen Egypt.Egypt is in total,385,229sq miles large.96% is desert and the 4% left is along the beautiful Nile.The Nile is 4,145 miles in total.Egypt has five different landscapes.
1=Nile Valley
2=Nile Delta
3=Arabian Desert
4=Libyan Desert
5=Sinai
The climate of these areas can be very different.Upper Egypt(southern)October to May is the best time to go.When i went,i went in June and it was about 100.Avoid the heat and go between Oct-May.Cairo gets hot between June-August.Try to go between Sept-May to avoid the 100c temp. December to March can be cloudy and abit rainy in Cairo.The Red Sea and Sinai have warm temps all year round.The temp of the Red Sea is around 20c.
All crops are along the Nile.They grow maize,rice,wheat,millet,pumpkins,dates,sugar cane,tomatoes,herbs,spices,cotton,watermelons,oranges,potatoes and many more.The Nile has date palms along it.The river has many irragation canals.Many people keep livestock.People keep goats,sheep,chickens and horses and water buffilo.
And of course,people keep and use camels for transport.There are a few birds here too.The Kite,heron.The Falcon is a symbol of power to alot of Arab countries and is on the Egyptian flag is threatened with going extinct.
Cairo has a huge pollution problem at the moment and sinai has the problems of lots of waste made by mass tourism.But people have become aware of this and are doing things to stop it.Thank God.
The population is about 63 million people in Egypt and over 20 million live in Cairo.This sounds unbelievable,but true. |
