"Caistor Windfarm" Caistor by rachel_sun

Caistor Travel Guide: 1 reviews and 7 photos

I can see these from my window.

I can see this windfarm from my house while surfing vt.They are pretty new and only about half of them work.On a clear day I can see them spinning around. You can drive down to Caistor beach and get out and see them.I believe there will be a visitor centre opening up there soon too.The beach here is pretty nice, long and sandy. These things may not look very big but they are huge, believe me.There are quite a few windfrms around here(Norfolk).Hemsby has some too. They are worth visiting if you are in the area.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Worth seeing.They are huge.
  • Cons:Somedays they are not working
  • In a nutshell:Look good from my bedroom window ;-)

A clean way to generate electricity from the wind. They are becoming very popular here.

Good to see! There are a lot off the Welsh coast at Prestatyn that I was mesmerised by recently. Lots of protests about windfarms on the Scottish hills right now - big issue for the locals ...

That's in Caistor! That's where a lot of my ancestors are from. Obviously changed a lot since they were there ;-)
