Safaris in Cameroon:Waza National Park

Waza National Park- This morning wake up early to watch the spectacular sunrise. After breakfast, visit the village of Rhumsiki and interact with the locals. Rhumsiki village is located within the heart of the mountains and its picturesque stone houses are home to the Margui people ("those who have grown tall"). Later you will visit the feticheur (sorcerer) and the coppersmiths of the village to learn about the traditions of northern Cameroon. After lunch, drive through the Koza hills to Waza National Park. Waza covers an area of 170 000 hectares, and is home to the "big five" animals of Africa. As the park is mostly flat savanna the game viewing is truly top notch. [O/N Waza lodge or similar].Whole day safari in the park with the help of local guides. With a little luck you will spot a great abundance and variety of wildlife. The park also offers some of the best bird spotting in West Africa

Kurop National Park.A haven for Fauna and Flora

Transfer to Mundemba for a visit to Korup National Park. Korup’s biological diversity is unique and the ecosystem relatively intact creating the oldest remaining rainforest in Africa. It is characterized by the highest species and natural genetic richness (biodiversity) recorded so far in Africa. It is home to over 1000 known species, with 60 occurring nowhere else and 170 considered endangered or vulnerable. These include the Drill, the Angwantibo, Otter shrew and the Preuss’s red colobus. In the Korup forest specifically, there are more than 400 tree species and 327 bird species. An additional 100 bird species are found within the support zone. There are 174 species of reptiles and amphibians and 140 species of fish. Korup is home of 25% of Africa’s primate species and more than 90 medicinal plants discovered there.
