Courtyard Marriott in the Gaslamp District
As I mentioned above, we got an amazing price for our room. It should have been at least $150 a night, but we only paid $50 because we went through Priceline. I hope you get the same deal and stay here!
Unique Qualities: This hotel is gorgeous inside. It used to be a bank, and the lobby has beautiful marble everywhere. The check-in desk is where one of the teller windows used to be. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful, offering me maps and even free coupons for nearby restaurants. They have a pool, jacuzzi and workout room. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Amazingly, we were able to get a rate of $50 a night! That seems unbelievable, right? Well, we went through www.priceline.com. I'm not sure if we had such a great rate because it was the end of September and hotels were willing to accept less money to attract tourists. Either way, we were very fortunate and pleased with the hotel and the price! The Gaslamp District is probably the best area to stay because it has all of San Diego's best restaurants and clubs. You can walk to find anything you need.
