"Cooperstown: a rural place to getaway" Cooperstown by mingomatic

I came here in September.The trees and foliage are beautiful as you will see a lot of orange, yellow and reds mixed in with the green leaves. It has a very small town and rustic feeling. It takes a couple days for us city folk to settle in, but once you do, it's very nice. It feels like that movie Groundhog's Day where everyone kind of knows each other, and everyone's pretty friendly. In the morning, the air is crisp. If you drive past some large field or farmland, you may see something like the pic here.

Check out the different barns when you're here. Coming from LA, you don't see this much nature and blue skies. There are lots of barnside stands and little places to eat. I'm sure most of it is quite fresh as they probably pick the foods right from the the farm. I almost ran over a chicken because it was literally crossing the road like the old joke everyone knows...

• Pros:Great place to get away from it all. Nice rustic town. Friendly people.
• Cons:A far drive from New York City. It's roughly 4-5 hours away.
• In a nutshell:Rustic and small town feel with some touristy things to do!
