The Edouard VII is the only hotel on the Avenue de l'Opera. Within easy walking distance of the Palais Royal, the Grand Louvre museum, and the main department stores, it offers lovers of ballet, theatre, painting or shopping an atmosphere that is every bit as grand as the historic monuments which surround it. The magic of the Boulevard, the excitement of the department stores, the luxury of the shops in the Place Vendome and the Champs Elysees are within easy reach of the hotel. The Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, used to stay in this elegant Haussmann style residence built in 1877. Run by the Corbel family since 1951, the hotel marries the aristocratic lifestyle of Edwardian times with every conceivable modern comfort.
Unique Qualities: The rooms are spacious, elegant and full of eye-catching details. 70 newly refurbished guest rooms including air conditioning and soundproofing. Mini Bar, Cable TV (21 International channels), Safe Deposit, Room Service 7am-11pm, Direct line telephone & voice email, automatic wake-up calls, modem plug. The renovated cocktail bar with its wood-panelling and stained glass. The hotel's staff are efficient, friendly and able and there's nothing like a cosy meal. A non-stop service is available from 11am to 11pm. A traditional "french carte" is available from 12am to 2pm and 7pm to 10pm.
