New York City's local pharmacy. This store is virtually everywhere. It is a rare occurance where you can go 5 blocks in the city without passing one. They have everything you would need to those painful moments of travel.

And best of all to all you travelers out there. They are also the source of good quality cheap prints of your digital pics. They recently ran a special where we got our prints for 9 cents each. In one hour!

Barnes and Noble: Meet you in the travel section.... Barnes and Noble Review

Its true any book store will do. But we seem to find the BN better than the rest. Atleast as far as travel goes.

I truly enjoy going to the bookstore for the evening and checking out the travel books. So much nicer to sit and read them there than buying ones you don't need.

A true measure of what I am and what I do.

What to buy: The DK and Insight Guides are my favorite brands. This is simply because they have more pictures than most of the others. They also are not very big on the step by step prepackaged tour idea.

What to pay: Most guide books will set you back about $20 to $30.

FAO: Who needs the Kwicky Mart? I doooooooo! FAO Schwarz Review

I hadnt been in FAO in about 15 years when I found myself walking by it on a VT tour. We ducked in and to my surprise at the top of the stairs they had set up a Kwicky Mart.

Proving once again. NYC has it all.
