When You've Got to Have Seafood

When we have a craving for some good seafood we come to City Island. One of our favorite places is the Crab Shanty. It's not much to look at but has some great seafood and large portions. We usually order the Crab Feast for two which is enough food to feed five people easily.

We have been to other restaurants on the island but like the casual and friendly atmosphere of the Crab Shanty. If you plan on having a meal on a Saturday make sure to get here early before the crowds start building.

Good Lobster

City Island is a tiny island community in the Bronx. It's know for it's seafood reatsurants and boating. The island is rather small but can get pretty packed in the summer months with fisherman, boaters and tourists.

Good Food and Excellent Company

Liz and I enjoy having a nice meal in City Island. We do have our favorite the Crab Shanty but there are plenty of other good restaurants such as Artie's, Sea Shore and the Lobster House. We are both big seafood lovers and enjoy fresh and quality seafood. We've never had a bad meal on City Island and have always found the service to be very friendly.

It's an added bonus that Liz's family is so close to City Island and can join us for an excellent meal at a moments notice. Enjoying a great meal with family and loved ones is always a great time.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Incredible Food and Close to Family
Cons:We can never finish a meal ...the portions are huge!

Hi I am looking for a place to shoot a short film and the big places are not into it. Do you know of any small places or run down places or restaurants that aren't so great. I think i have a best chance this time of year at such places. or place that aren't that popular?
