Category: Train
Getting TO/AROUND: I use Amtrak and the Acela to come to Boston. Its pricy compared to driving but as gas goes up its more and more worth it. Especially with special features like the quiet car you can really just throw on the bose and zone out. Add that the much increased speed on the New York to Boston part of the Acela's run and it is a nice not very long ride.

Getting TO/AROUND: On those weekends when I'm feeling a little tight I will take the Chinatown busses. They provide good and cheap service along the the entire east coast. From New York City to Boston is about $20 each way. On those weekends when you're going alone its quite nice.

Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: The T here is a pretty good subway system. You will find it very easy to use and will get you around as needed. If its not much past midnight. Sadly like so many other systems around the world it does not run late night. One more reason New York is better than Boston.
