Restaurant Name: Dali

This is a really nice place for tapas or dinner or even just getting a glass of wine. I have now been here twice and it gets better each time. It is insanely crowded with little or no parking available. I was smart and dropped off my girlfriend and asked her to get us on the list while I looked for parking. It took so long to park that I actually picked her up again and we continued looking. Once finally parked we had a short wait of 25 or so minutes inside where we enjoyed a glass of the sangria. The sangria is one of the top reasons to come here. Quite good.

During my first visit it was explained to me that this is the only place in all of Boston that reminds my companion of home in Colombia. The tiled bar. The hangings. Everything about it makes her feel at home here. Hense why she frequents it and took me.

Favorite Dish: I only ate dinner here the second time. The garlic soup is one of my favorite menu items here. It was fantastic. We also shared the seafood paella. I have to tell you that almost anything I eat is great at the time. Because I'm constantly raving about how good the food is everywhere. Well here, its the garlic soup and the seafood paella.

We had other tapas as well that were all good. But these two items were the standouts.

Restaurant Name: Tapeo

I came to this restaurant on warn and sunny fall day. (November 7, 2004) Was up in town visiting a friend. So this is where we came when Dali was not yet open. I must say all the food I tried was excellent. It was a couple years back now in November of 2004 so I dont remember specifics but trust me, its worth the trip. We spent an hour or two just sitting here and sharing a drink and a couple snacks.

I have since come back and it is just how I remember it. Wonderful place to take a break in your Newbury day. It is just next to the dog shop.

Favorite Dish: I do not remember many other than the churizo and shrimp dishes. They were my favorites.

Restaurant Name: Legal Sea Foods

Nathalie really wanted to eat here. So we did. Food wasnt bad either from what I remember. I usually only use this place as a meeting point and bar to go elsewhere. Butwas not disappointed that I finally tried it.

Favorite Dish: The chowder was not as good as everyone says it is. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised with the steak. That really was one of the better ones I had had in Boston up to the time. We were here on March 15, 2003.
