Karlsruhe: Home it shall always be.

Liz & I emjoying some drinks at Dave's Bar
I returned to Karlsruhe in February 2008 with Liz. I was homesick for Karlsruhe and wanted to show her all the places and things I did when I lived here. We were even able to meet up with my friend Dave at his bar as well as some fellow local VTers. It was a fun trip back down memory lane and I was happy to have taken Liz home with me.

Karlsruhe will always be my first true home away from home.

Home for a time

I left Karlsruhe in December 2000 where I lived for several months. (www.karlsruhe.de)

This is a nice city with a busy downtown pedestrian area. Very ample public transportation as is to be expected. As well as warmer than expected weather. It is very near the spa areas of Baden Baden which is in fact on the tram network here.

This picture is taken in the center of town at the Herren Straße tramstop.

I made it back. Only for one evening but I made it back. And it still feels like home. Sadly I only had an hour or so of daylight and the whole of the evening. I was able to visit old friends. See long missed sites.
Just re-living some good times
