Well I returned to a Chicago to stay a few days this time instead of just layovers on the train. The Yankees were in town to play the Cubs for the first time since the 1938 World Series and I wasn’t going to miss it.
Other than the airports this was my first trip back to Chicago in around five years. I must admit I enjoyed the city much more this time around as I was able to go and play with a few locals and get to see things I missed when I was self-guiding my walking tour.
We arrived Friday morning about 11am by car from Cincinnati. Not much on the roads to be seen between the two towns. But when we arrived, it was great to recognize the area around the hotel.
Most of the weekend was spend in Wrigleyville. Just the way it all went down.
I will be coming back to town sometime to explore all the tourist stuff I didn’t do this time. I have a much better outlook on the city after this visit. |

The Cubby Bear...... awesome to say the least. It's great you got to enjoy the Wrigley experience. (I was hoping for a Cubs/BoSox series.....darn!) |
