"A Beachside Town" West Haven by cjg1

West Haven Travel Guide: 15 reviews and 108 photos

West Haven is another town on the Coneticut Sound that Liz and I loved visiting; we loved it so much we moved here. We have friends that live locally, we knew the area well and it is close to our new jobs. We moved into our beach house in August 2014 and have loved it.

Liz and I love our beach walks and West Haven is a great place for this. We walk right out of our front door and to the beach; it doesn't get any better than that in my opinion.

The beaches of West Haven are usually filled with families and people walking their dogs, rollerblading, biking or just sitting on a bench enjoying the view. The many piers jutting out from the beach are an excellent place to strol and enjoy the nice water and breeze

Both my wife and I enjoy good seafood meals and West Haven has some great seafood joints: Jimmy's, Stowe's and the Oyster River Grill. My wife and I love eating seafood with a nice water view and all three places provide such an atmosphere.
