Getting TO/AROUND: Well if you are coming from the east by car this is your point of entry. The Oakland Bay Bridge. Currently in overhaul this bridge is the one more visiters use and not the Golden Gate.

Getting TO/AROUND: Ever since they connected SFO to the BART I have only used SFO to visit the city. This seems amazing especially since I have moved from United to American but that is how the fares work out. Be sure to check out the United gates where this pic was taken.

Only a short ride now to the city this airport's traffic has increased since being connected. A great move.

It is located south of the city on the penninsula.

    B.A.R.T: Bay Area Rapid Transit.

Getting TO/AROUND: The BART is one of those many world wide subway systems that does not run all night. This is always the one thing that upsets me most when I travel. But it is a decent system that they do try to expand. I don't know the latest but I can tell you that there were/are plans to complete the loop. You can travel all the way out to Danville or down to the Milpitas area. Both airports are now connected. And most lines will get you into and out of the city.

Getting TO/AROUND: This always used to be my gateway to San Francisco and the bay area. Back then it was the only airport connected to BART, and most of my friends live in Oakland anyway. Add to that I used to fly Southwest and well it all made sense. Now with its continued reliance on the Bus to the BART I find it more complicated to come in here than SFO.

    Ferry: Take the Ferry

Getting TO/AROUND: The ferries here in the bay area are one of my favorite ways to get around. They will take you to some of the islands and to a couple of different places in Marin County as well.

As a cheap way to get a tour of the bay I come out here and just relax.

I believe they also have some that go to and from Oakland and Emeryville. But have not used those yet.
