Hong Kong is one of those cities I love to visit. It is the only place I have been that truly reminds me of New York. With the bustling downtown city area on the north shore of the island to the neighborhoods to use of parkland it brings out all of my favorite things in the design of a city. Even in the feelings of Kowloon being the outer boroughs and the New Territories being the suburbs.
People ask me all the time where my favorite places in the world are that I’ve seen. Well let me assure you Hong Kong is definitely one of them. Given the choice of just one place, Buenos Aires and Sydney would probably rank ahead, but that is about it.
For my latest trip here I had the honor of spending my birthday in this town. It alone is probably the single greatest vacation/trip I’ve ever had and so many times better than my first trip where I was suddenly alone coming here. Being able to show her around and spend the week together was the best gift I could ever have asked for. Let alone the actual gifts that were showered upon me. Thanks again. It was great. |
